St. Louisans love their zoo. It's a great retreat on a hot gross day, an easy amusement for kids of any age, a great walk no matter your physical stamina, and best of all, it's FREE! I'm all about family activities that are free, aren't you?
The bronze gorilla is a tribute to a long time zoo resident, a rather ancient silverback gorilla, who died many years ago. It's located outside the monkey house and is the perfect size to prop the kids for a quick photo op.
